To My Three Favorite Men

I am so grateful for all you've done to support me during the scary time after my diagnosis and surgery, and now as I'm on the mend.

To SDT, you're my hero. I know how scared you were but you held it together...especially knowing how much you hate hospitals and all things medical, and the uncertainty of a good outcome. You'll never know how much it meant to have you crawl into the bed with me that first night in the hospital, it helped more than any pain medication. Then when I got sick with stomach bug a week later you took great care of me. I know I got annoyed when you wouldn't let me do anything, but I appreciate that you were just looking out for me.

To NJT and TJT, you guys took everything in stride. To have teenagers doing their own laundry and cooking is amazing. And how the two of you dug in and cleared the driveway after the big snow storm knowing I couldn't be out there to help and Dad not being home... I'm so proud of you!

Now that life is returning to normal, I don't ever want to forget how we came together as a family to deal with all the crazy, sad, scary events of the past year and came out stronger. We learned the hard way that tomorrow isn't guaranteed to any of us and to appreciate our loved ones. You are the most important people in my life - you are my life and I love you all so much.
